The new painting exhibition of the creator "floats" a few centimetres over our heads...

The "heroes" of Antonis Tsakiris' painting are recognisable faces, living and moving among us, but with a little twist.With symbolic and surrealistic details, the new work of the Greek painter talks about our inner desire to frequently escape from reality, the bombardment of information and the narrow framework of our lives in real or imaginary terms. "We need to escape within and out of ourselves...", the painter says,regarding his new work, entitled "Runaways". Through his heroes' expressions and their personal stories, Tsakiris explores the other side of reality, while his works constantly witness the personal "weakness" of the artist to surpass reality and meet with something distant, dreamlike, surreal.
